Lick Creek Cave

Lucas, Sam, Kyler, and I all wanted to do some caving and some climbing; lucky we live in MT! We stopped in Indian Creek for 3 quick sport climbs before proceeding to the Lick Creek cave. Lucas has a project for school that has him collecting fungi (if they are encountered) from caves. Since Sam and Kyler had never been caving before, we let them guide us because Lucas and I have been there a few times now.
The entrance.

What a goon.

Perhaps I spoke to soon.

Oh hi cave feature!

INCREDIBLY LAME!

Fruiting bodies found!

See? Doing science can be cool!

Hey found some more!

The cave popcorn is growing new crystals.

I dont remember what Lucas called this stuff but its fungus too.

Small stalactite.

Underground lake. J/k its just a little puddle.

Lucas, Kyler, and Sam sitting atop the pile of breakdown in the bottom room. This chamber in particular is the largest underground chamber so far discovered?
