Beehive Peak 4th of July Couloir

Devin Schmit and I have a fun day skinning, booting, summiting, and skiing! All smiles all day!

Mt.Black N bowl ski into Pine Creek

Devin Schmit, Anna Bergstrom and I gunning for a Mt.Black summit and hopefully a Y-couloir descent.

A little wet slide debris always makes the skinning easier.

Devin says up so up we go.

                                   

Topping out the first little access couloir instead of following where the trail left where it goes to the lake.

Anna found it much easier to boot up the access couloir with sharp spikes on her feet. Doesnt that photo make her look like she is super hard-core?!

Anna, from IL, is killing it.

Gained the ridge where Anna met her maximum skiing potential. Devin and I ditched out summit fever to stay together as a group and we still got an excellent descent.

The paradise valley is beautiful no matter what angle you look at it. It was particularly striking from this vantage point.

Big Sky: Last day 2011

These are someone's kids! Fun day to to ski with, well, eccentric skiers! 

Hyalite Ice: G1

Manfred, Lucas and I top roped G1 for a while.

Its hard to see but the right side of Lucas' face is bleeding thanks to a plate breaking off and punching him.

Manfred is a terrific 'negative energy' sponge; see that smile?! 

Absaroka Caving: Crystal Cave

Lucas, Cole, Anna, Manfred and I went into the Absarokas to find and descend the Crystal Cave. We found it. Its a whole lot of worm holing but there are some cool canals you have to stem over and fun little grottos to hang out in.

Manfred, Anna, Sam, Terra and I went hotspringing after a day of climbing.
