Big Sky: Last day 2011

These are someone's kids! Fun day to to ski with, well, eccentric skiers! 

Hyalite Ice: G1

Manfred, Lucas and I top roped G1 for a while.

Its hard to see but the right side of Lucas' face is bleeding thanks to a plate breaking off and punching him.

Manfred is a terrific 'negative energy' sponge; see that smile?! 

Absaroka Caving: Crystal Cave

Lucas, Cole, Anna, Manfred and I went into the Absarokas to find and descend the Crystal Cave. We found it. Its a whole lot of worm holing but there are some cool canals you have to stem over and fun little grottos to hang out in.

Manfred, Anna, Sam, Terra and I went hotspringing after a day of climbing.

Tobacco Roots: Noble Peak and Lost Cabin Lake

Anna, Manfred and I backpacked into Lost Cabin lake for some fishing and a summit push on Noble Peak.

Heres the crew chilling by the lake.

There is one really cool campsite there.

Ramshorn Cave

Lucas, Anna and I went looking for the Ramshorn Cave and we found it!

If you ever find these little cars, you were in an alien landscape ~4 hours underground. On my 5th visit to the cave, Lucas' 13th?, I found the Rappel pit that Lucas came back and rappelled 200ft down. The map shows 3 tunnels leading from this bottom lake cavern with question marks. I dont think Lucas will ever want to go back down that pit to investigate where those chambers go. Imagine rappelling hundreds of feet down a claustrophobic, twisting, worm hole in the dark by yourself with loose blocks falling down before your feet creating eerie noises as it bounces its way down and down and down...

Tobacco Roots: Hollowtop Lake and Potosi Peak

Some winter backpacking in the roots!
